Grace
The word this week is :
Grace
Defination
Grace is the unearned, unmerritted, undeserving love and favor of God.
Verse
For by Grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
The Importance of Grace:
Grace is a word that can be brushed off and taken for granted. A word that we know what it is and what it means. But do we really realize what Grace really does for us?
Just sit and soak in the definition for a moment.
Unearned, Unmerited, Undeserving
Those are three powerful words: there is nothing we can work for, gain, or do to earn God’s love but He continues to love us anyway. Grace is God’s undeserved love and favor lavished on us.
We don’t deserve it, but that doesn’t mean we can’t receive it with open arms! Grace isn’t just a one time thing, it’s something we can experience daily. When we mess up, when we feel unworthy- that’s when we need to cling to Grace even more.
Grace isn’t just a theological word- it’s a real, tangible thing that we can experience in our lives. When we let Grace into our hearts, it changes everything. We become more compassionate, more loving, and more forgiving. Grace is the bridge that connects us to God and allows us to experience His love in a real way.
Mind
Grace is something that is unearned and undeserving. We should also remember that it is given to us freely out of love. When we appreciate grace more, we become more gracious to others. We can show compassion and mercy, even when they don’t deserve it. Who could you show more grace to in your life?
Body
We all need grace, especially when it comes to forgiving ourselves. We are so hard on ourselves and we beat ourselves up over the smallest things. But, God is compassionate and merciful – He wants us to extend that same compassion and mercy to ourselves. In what area do you need to give yourself grace?
Spirit
When we think about grace, it is important to remember that it is something that comes from God. It is a gift, and it is something that we should always be grateful for. When we appreciate grace more, we open our hearts to receive even more from God. We become more compassionate and loving people, and we can make a difference. How can you be more compassionate and loving to the people God has placed in your life?
Word of the Week Take Away :
Grace is a word that we should all strive to embody. It is something that is given to us, even though we may not feel like we deserve it. Grace allows us to be forgiven and to start fresh, no matter what we have done. We can all use more grace in our lives, and by striving to become more gracious to others.
I hope this encourages you today as you go out and live in a world that doesn’t always understand or appreciate grace. You have been given something wonderful and unearned – don’t forget to share that with others and check out these other helpful tips and articles! 🙂
